Behavior Management in K-12 Education

A Behavior Management Training Module Intro (K-12)
A training video designed for on boarding programs for novice teachers and new teacher induction programs.
As an Instructional Designer for a local charter district, playing a role in the on boarding process for novice teachers is often requested.  In the fulfillment of strategic priorities that foster a positive culture in classrooms, this training video supports a Behavior Management Cycle giving novice teachers a scaffold approach in learning outcomes that include the implementation of four district narrative components in the discipline cycle.  This video narrates examples of redirecting the noncompliant behavior while positively framing compliant behavior.

To elevate learning in this area, the modality principle suggests information sharing to reduce superfluous cognitive load.  This principle suggests information presented to learners using a dual channel strategy encompassing both audio and text to convey the overall messaging (Neto, Huang, and Melli, 2015).

After review of this training video of the Behavior Management Cycle, novice teachers will be able to demonstrate the model using it as a resource.
